Deep Tissue/ Trigger Point Therapy

Deep tissue massage is an intense bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. This type of massage is used to break down muscle adhesions caused by repetitive motions, past lingering injuries, or misalignment. Deep tissue massage is a good option if you have chronic muscle pain or excessive tension. Avoid this type of massage if you are overly sensitive to pressure.

What to expect from your session: Deep tissue massage is a form of massage that you lie down on a massage table in supine or prone positions during the entire session. You will be professionally draped and be covered with a sheet or a blanket. Your massage therapist will use slow strokes and deep finger/ elbow pressure to relieve tension from the deepest layers of your muscles and connective tissues. Effective deep tissue work doesn’t have to be excruciatingly painful. You can always request less intensity and you can request to have only certain areas worked on. It is highly recommended to be combined with Theragun Elite.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a type of massage designed for active people who engage in athletics as professional or weekend warriors manners. Engaging in sports can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports massage enhances performance and flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

What to expect from your session: Depending on your needs, you may be laying down on a massage table for entire session or you may be required to sit on a massage chair as a part of the session. Unlike the other types of massage, in sport massage you cease to be in passive position and actively participate in the process. For instance, you may be required to squeeze a specific muscle, turn your head, or move your arm during the session. Sports massage could cover the whole body as well as focusing a targeted muscle or muscle group. It is highly recommended to be combined with Kinesiology Tape and/or Thereagun Elite.

Kinesiology Tape- ADD ON

Kinesiology tape is used in many areas of healthcare and athletic performance based upon its mechanism of action on human body. Kinesiology tape has approximately the same thickness and elasticity as the epidermis, the outer layer of the skin. Its effects are due to the tape’s mechanical properties and the skins’s communication with the brain via the nervous system. The primary use of the tape is to treat musculoskeletal pain conditions.

What to expect: Although the application of kinesiology tape does not require a credential in California, it is must be applied by an expert to be effective and safe. Unlike many other places, the kinesiology taping is done by a CKTP in our clinic. We use only the best quality tapes including Kinesio Tex Classic, Kinesio Tex Gold FP, and Kinesio Tex Performance+.
